I find that the key to growing your business is referrals. Now, more than ever "word of mouth" from the people you trust counts a lot! You likely yourself have asked people, "where did you get that?" or "do you know anybody that sells 'x'? This is the best time to have your name come up. Always be remembered to your best customers by sending them a note, an e-mail or a gift during the holidays or their birthday or when you know they are having a significant life event...like the birth of a grandchild. If you take care of your customers, they can take care of you by sending business your way. Don't be shy to ask for the business, you'd be surprised how simple that can be. Remember, if you don't ask, you won't get. Good selling.
